George very early showed a natural aptitude for academic pursuits, and was able to attend college and law school in the Ivy League (Columbia and Penn), graduating with honors. His Multistate Bar Examination grade was among the highest ever recorded on that exam.
In 1978 George relocated to Seattle, Washington and took a job as a public defender, where he gained extensive trial experience. He rose to partnership in 1987 and became managing partner in 1998.
George has achieved recognition in the legal community for his talents; he has been rated AV by Martindale Hubbell for almost two decades, and he has been identified as a Super lawyer by Washington Law and Politics Magazine. His record of success at trial has continued throughout his practice.
George is an avid cyclist, having successfully completed multiple one-day STP, RAMROD and Randonneur events. He currently rides Parlee Carbon, Litespeed Ti, and Erickson steel frames. George is a member of Cascade and Redmond Cycling Clubs, is a past President of the Redmond Cycling Club, and is the current Director of the RAMROD bicycle ride (2007 to present).
